Madera Hope House is a drop-in wellness center providing services to adults.

The afterschool program is a clubhouse model for high school transitional aged youth (TAY) ages 14-17, who are residents of Madera County.
[ TAY Services: 2:00pm-5:00pm ]
Our First Episode Psychosis (FEP) program that provides case management services to people 16 to 30 years old and who are experiencing the onset of a serious mental illness, such as schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder.

Hope House is made possible by the Mental Health Services Act and Madera County Behavioral Health Services.

The goals for Madera Hope House is focused on improving the quality of life by focusing on the Eight Dimensions of Wellness; Emotional, Spiritual, Intellectual, Physical, Environmental, Financial, Occupational, and Social wellbeing (SAMHSA).
We help people develop skills, motivation, and resources to become productive members of society; healthy in mind, body, and spirit.

TAY:
Access is granted to any and all transitional aged youth (TAY) ages 14-17 with mental health concerns who are in need and reside in Madera County.
Adults:
Access is granted to any and all adults with mental health concerns who are in need and reside in Madera County.
FEP:
Access is granted to those aged 16-30 who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder reside in Madera County and have been referred by Madera County Behavioral Health.
Mikayla was 17 the first time she noticed she was distracted by racing thoughts and disrupted sleep. She lived with her Aunt, who was worried because she noticed Mikayla’s grades were slipping. She would isolate herself in her room for days at a time. One night, Mikayla tried hurting herself, and she was hospitalized for a brief psychotic episode. She accepted a referral to Hope House, where she met other young people like herself, who had learned to manage their mental health symptoms and maintain jobs & friendships. Mikayla participated in a group, and got a part-time job. She has since learned that a mental health diagnosis is just a part of what she manages; not who she is as a person.
